Bingo Patterns

Written by admin on Wednesday, August 5th, 2009 in Uncategorized.

Bingo patterns are a crucial part of online bingo games. The whole aim of the game is to match all the randomly called numbers in a given pattern on your card. Bingo patterns range from simple horizontal or diagonal patterns to more complex patterns in assorted shapes or pictures. These patterns are generally shown in the right hand side of most games. Players need to keep an eye on their cards to see if they bingo on the pattern.

Players need to pay attention to the bingo pattern. To win bingo, only the numbers that form the pattern are needed. Some bingo patterns are a lot easier to win bingo on than others. Others may be more challenging to win, as the layout is not as easy to see from watching the bingo board. Players need to keep track of the number called, however in online bingo games the numbers are called for the players.

There are endless possible bingo patterns, just as there are endless possible number combinations! All bingo patterns include a middle block, which is treated as a bonus number. The most widely used and recognized are simple line bingo patterns and blackout or coverall bingo patterns.

Straight line bingo patterns are simpler to bingo on as they can be only in either a horizontal, vertical or diagonal direction. For example, players would need to have all the numbers in their ‘B’ row if the pattern was a horizontal pattern.

The blackout or coverall bingo pattern has higher stakes, as players have to get every number on their card to win. This bingo pattern is often played in high rollers or high level rooms.

Many online bingo games have featured patterns that tie in to current themes or promotions. These are fun for players, but they are more of a challenge to win! these. At Bingodrome the patterns change every week. These include multi letter patterns ( that spell out words ), and a variety of pictures ranging from handbags to peanut butter jars, depending on the current promotion. Bingodrome has a unique promotion theme that ties patterns in to current events or holidays. Additional bingo patterns include outside square bingo patterns, which are large square patterns in which players need to get all numbers in the ‘B’ and ‘O’ rows, as well as the top and bottom rows to win bingo. Similarly, inside square patterns are won by getting all the numbers in the ‘I’, ‘N’ and ‘G’ rows around the free space on the card. A roving kite bingo pattern is won by getting three numbers diagonally to the left and right sides in a 3 mouth-to-mouth 3 diamond formation.

In most games, all a player needs to do to win is get all the numbers in the bingo pattern. In Jackpot games, which are usually a separate pattern that stays the same every game, players need to win bingo within a certain number of balls. If a player manages to win in the amount of balls specified, they win the Jackpot. Jackpots are often progressive, which means the prize amount rolls over if it is not won.

Bingo Online – A smoker’s paradise

Written by admin on Monday, July 6th, 2009 in Uncategorized.

A smoking ban in the UK in all enclosed public places will take effect from the beginning of 2007, with a complete ban in licensed areas by the end of 2008. The White Paper on Public Health plans ( released in February 2006 and can bee seen here http: / / www. publications. parliament. uk / pa / ld200506 / ldbills / 076 / 06076. 1 – 6. html ) suggests that most enclosed public areas, including offices and factories, will become smoke free. Only private clubs, where MPs voted to allow smoking, and pubs which do not serve prepared food would be exempt. This means that up to 90 % of bars and restaurants will be smoke free within a few years.

So how will this White Paper affect the numbers attending bingo halls in the UK long – term, where a substantial percentage of players smoke. Some figures suggest that almost two out of the three million people who regularly play bingo are smokers ( according to the Bingo Association ). Of those two million, a large majority are women, who will be forced to play their favourite social game without a smoke.

Well, the vote on the smoking ban was conducted in the House of Parliament by MPs who, while exempting the 20, 000 or so private members clubs, have not exempted the many hundreds of UK bingo halls.

The Smoking, Health and Social Care Bill came into effect in Scotland in March 2006 and has already starting to have serious effect on the bingo and casino industries, with 5 major clubs closing down since its implementation. Estimates show that up to 70 % of bingo players in Scotland smoke, and bosses are suggesting that most players are turning up later and leaving earlier in order to light up a cigarette, reducing the session times and the average expenditure. While pub owners claim the ban has had little effect, both Mecca Bingo and Carlton say that the ban has hit the industry hard. Early indications show that the ban has led to a definite fall in customers. However numbers attending bingo halls has been steadily declining in the UK since 2000 with only 2. 8 % of adults attending in 2004.

It has been estimated that up to one third of the UK ‘ s bingo halls will close due to the ban. This would mean a massive loss to the industry and the £2 billion in revenues taken by giants such as Gala and Mecca each year. This will also have a knock – on effect as bingo suppliers and the like, will find their demand for their business reducing.

But all is not lost for these companies. Both Gala and Mecca have online bingo products launched for a while now, and with Gala recently deciding to go alone with their independent software, it seems they are gearing up for a change in direction and are placing more emphasis on revenues from online bingo in the future. So does this mean Gala are preparing for the drop in numbers to their bingo halls, and will players switch to online bingo more increasingly as the ban takes effect. There are certainly enough online bingo game sites to provide for the three million or so land – based players who may make the switch. But will these players find the same social element and enjoyment online as they do in land – based bingo halls.

Well, one thing is for sure, they may have more money to spend at online bingo. According to the NHS’s smoking advice, a 20 per day smoker will spend approximately £30, 000 over the next 20 years. It forecasts that the smoking ban will lead to 700, 000 people quitting cigarettes altogether. A leading NHS doctor suggests also that when people stop smoking, they want to reward themselves in other ways, with perhaps a holiday or a new car, and this could also mean more disposable income to spend on light entertainment such as online bingo. It may be that a person might think that the £5 per day saving on smoking might be worth spending on online bingo games, which provides it own element of reward.

Online bingo does provide a high social element too. The chat rooms that accompany such games, provide users with the ability to meet and talk to friends, allows users to participate in fun chat room games and has the added bonus of the home being just about the only place where smoking cannot be banned.

Of the 30 % in revenues that are spent in slot machines at bingo halls, there is also provision at online bingo for players to continue playing slots, as many of the online sites have slot machines games and other light games to enjoy while in between bingo games.

So, all is not lost for the land – based bingo player. In fact, the UK market is almost over – run with bingo sites waiting for players to make the switch. And with bingo halls banning smoking, you can suggest that the cross – over to online bingo won’t be far behind.

Online bingo games can be played using either use 75 – ball or 90 – ball rules. The rules are very straightforward; all that is needed to win bingo is to get all the numbers in a given pattern.

75 – ball bingo is the version that is played in the United States and Canada. There are 75 numbers on the bingo board, as opposed to the 90 number UK bingo rules. Of these 75 numbers, there are over 6, 000 possible number combinations on a bingo card, which consists of 24 random numbers between 1 and 75. The caller calls out the numbers that come out on the bingo board. To win bingo, players need to mark matching numbers that appear on their cards as soon as they are called.

Bingo cards have five columns that are each marked with a B – I – N – G – O letter. These make 25 squares, comprised of five down and five across. Bingo Tips From Bingo Players

Written by admin on Friday, June 19th, 2009 in Uncategorized.

Bingo is a game of luck. It does not matter if bingo players are playing online land – based bingo, bingo is the one game where the outcome cannot be controlled or predicted.

There is a lot new players can learn from experienced and accomplished bingo players. Skilled players can advise new players to keep certain bingo tips in mind when they are playing.

Bingo players should always make sure they arrive early at the bingo hall. Arriving early ensures that they can get the best seat, or their favorite seat. They can also ensure that they sit in the smoking or non – smoking area, whichever they prefer.

To better their chances at winning, bingo players should play at halls when there are less bingo players present. The perfect time would be between Monday and Thursday nights, as more prefer to play over the weekend. Why does this better their chances of winning? Because the less players there are, the better the chances of winning. This also means that the more cards they play, the greater their chances is to win.

Although “play all you want” offers are great, bingo players should be careful. They should never play more bingo cards than they can comfortably watch at a time.

It is important to remember that what goes around comes around. Bingo players should make sure they buy at least one bingo card per night for their neighbour. If they then find themselves without enough money to play one more game, chances are that their neighbours will buy them one more card.

When bingo players win, they should make sure they throw a lucky dollar or two for their neighbours to catch. Generally, their neighbours will return the favour when they win. Players can also receive ten times more than the lucky dollar they gave their neighbours. If a neighbour bingo’s with that lucky dollar, the neighbour is sure to share the prize!

Bingo players should always keep their neighbours in mind. They should never yell out loud the number they need, because their neighbours are trying to hear which numbers are being called. Another important aspect that bingo players should keep in mind is that their neighbours are at the hall for entertainment. They don’t want other people to complain to them all the time.

Playing bingo can be lots of fun and a great social event if players keep these tips in mind. Players should remember the greatest tip of all – they should never stop playing bingo, because it means that they can play a game they love while they win money and meet great people!
